It’s difficult to put into words how impactful GAT was, as one of the pioneers of the first generation of streetwear.

So many brands that followed them would not have ever happened if it wasn’t for Gypsys and Thieves.  Not only that but so many first generation brands directly borrow ideas, inspiration and concepts from GAT.  From their wide leg jeans, collabs with graff writers and innovative use of faux fur in outwear and hats, there are too many things in streetwear history that GAT was the first to do.  They may have been the first streetwear brand to be involved in beef too, even if they weren’t the ones that started it.

Anything that you could write about them won’t do them justice.  It would be great to hear the story from the founder himself.  Maybe we can make that happen at some point.
