Strictly Rhythm is a house music record label that is often acknowledged as the most important label in house music history. They’ve even been referred to as the “Motown Records of House.” Over the years, they have released records from scene giants like Todd Terry, DJ Sneak, Armand Van Helden, Roger Sanchez, Masters at Work and countless others. Strictly Rhythm had a huge influence in other genres as well as house music. Oddly enough they’re responsible for 2 of the biggest records of the mid 1990s smash genre acid breaks in Josh Wink’s Higher State of Consciousness and Planet Soul’s Set You Free.
