Caffeine was one of the first streetwear brands to come out of the club/rave scene.  The brand actually started as a nightclub in Long Island in 1991.  By 1993, they had added Caffeine Records to their brand portfolio.  In 1994 Caffeine opened a retail shop selling DJ vinyl, clothes and accessories for everyone in the scene.  What started out as strictly Caffeine logo wear quickly transitioned into a full blown streetwear line in 1995, with designs focusing on gear to wear to the club or parties.

While Caffeine had girls clothing in their early lines, they committed to an all female line not long after, expanding their empire and launching the girls line Buggirl.

Caffeine is still a dominant player in the DJ and club space today after launching their Caffeine DJ Academy in 2013.
