Mike McGill is probably most well known as one of the original members of Powell-Peralta’s Bone Brigade.  When they released the skate video The Search For Animal Chin, Mike was arguably the best skater on the team.  His technical skills were unmatched at the time and he was even more famous than Tony Hawk at that time.  Mike McGills Powell-Peralta decks are still one of the most popular and sought after deck graphics in the history of skateboarding.  In a few short years after that video skyrocketed McGill, he leveraged his fame, skill and knowledge to opening a chain of skate shops across the US and even built a skate park in Carlsbad, CA.  In 1992, he left Powell and started his own skate brand, Chapter 7.  Even with him as the face of the company and in charge, C7 never took off like he wanted it to.   The company released some great videos and had a decent roster of pros, but they folded before the end of the 90s and Mike went back to riding for Powell.
